Sheraton 1832 Handcrafted Dresser
This Sheraton Dresser is engraved with the year 1832 on the underside of on of the drawers. It’s been completely redone with new Walnut Burl Veneer on the main dresser drawers.
When Chester Dwars acquired this chest of drawers, it had been painted over with some kind of ungodly “peachy” color paint and stripped of the original veneer.
Chester Dwars could see that under all the ugliness, it was actually in super condition for a piece that has survived over 180 years. The hand-worked dovetails, the wide-board sides, back and drawer bottoms epitomize the craftsmanship of the Sheraton era.
With a lot of love and patience, the old wood was revealed and refinished. The drawers were also in excellent condition, begging for their new layer of Walnut Burl Veneer. Chester Dwars obliged by applying some of the best veneer that money can buy.
